NO EGO DOG
TRAINING
The team at Armatus Canine go above and beyond the minimum mark when it comes to training, when we step onto the field all egos are left at the gate. All of our training is relaxed, professional and tailored to your needs.

When it comes to training we make every effort to pass on our experience and ensure when owners and handlers walk away they are confident in what they have been taught so they can carry on the training at home, as that's where it really matters.

All our profit from training goes directly into advancing our new training centre to provide better training experiences for owners and dogs.

We offer our services and experience to pet dog owners for all sorts of training, from simple tricks to becoming a respectable member of society.

When it comes to dog training we know not everyone is a wizard at it, we will help you along the way and tell you why we have chosen the methods we are teaching you. Knowing what to do is one thing, knowing why your doing it is another. This is why our head trainer is a recognised Master Trainer by the Guild of Dog Trainers and is qualified in canine behaviour, nutrition, first aid and specialises is aggressive behaviour modification.

Our team can help you with the following in your training, but if there is something not listed, it doesn't mean we cant help you, just drop us a line and we will see what we can do.
OBEDIENCE BOOTCAMP & SESSIONS
This means the most basic 7 commands that should be taught, sit, down, leave, come, no, stay and heel. Obedience training can often be overlooked, its the bedrock of further training. It initially helps form a bond between dogs and owners and basic obedience should be practiced regularly, if your struggling with this let us help you to ensure you get off to a good start and prevent further problems down the line.
PSA CLUB & IGP CLUB
Our training centre has become one of the first UK PSA clubs. We are running PSA, IGP and Ringsport sessions at our training ground. This provides a valuable outlet for non working dogs as well as an aim for owners to compete if they wish. For owners interested in joining our own Armatus Canine PSA or IGP clubs please email us or use the message box on the home page.

BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION
Our head trainer has a good deal of experience from her military and security background when it comes to dealing with dogs that show unwanted aggressive behaviour. Often it can be something that the owners aren't seeing or are unware due to a lack of knowledge. This is why when we train with your dogs, we point out the issues, then explain why we choose to use the methods we use to fix it. We will ensure that owners are happy they can repeat and continue this training before leaving the field.
PUPPY TRAINING
If you have recently added to your family with your first, second or even tenth puppy we can help you build up a puppy that will be a delight to have at home or even work with. We can provide you with the knowledge you need going forward towards your goals and prevent some common mistakes made. We will look at developing socialising, confidence building, obedience and ensure an environmentally sound pup with a strong bond.
SCENTWORK & MANTRAILING

If your looking at something to keep you and your dog entertained, we run UK Snifferdogs/Scentwork UK classes and are looking at setting up other things in the near future such as Disc dogs. Having some good fun with your dog and giving them an output for their energy is a great way to pass time, keep them active, fit and develop a strong bond. Mantrailing is a also a great way to occupy busy minds for both dogs and owners who would like to get outdoors and hunting down trails.
ONLINE COACHING & TRAINING

Courses are run all year round. The majority of the courses are aimed at those wanting to work as dog handlers in the security industry, but some like the Canine First Aid are aimed at all dog owners and staff that work in canine businesses.

The group sizes in courses are kept low to ensure maximum time between student and instructor. You have support from the team long after you have completed the course but we aim to train you to ensure you are confident in your new skills.

You do NOT need to already own a dog to attended the courses, course dogs are available to use for free, with the kennelling a feeding done by us. You will likely handle multiple dogs on courses to experience different breeds and traits.

For HM Forces, Emergency Services and veterans, there is a 10% discount on the courses.

The security courses are completed under the body of National Association of Security Dog Users (NASDU) as this is widely accepted in the security industry. If you wish to complete them under the National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users (NTIPDU) or the British Institute of Professional Dog Trainers (BIPDT) please get in touch.
